Abel

This Grammy nominated producer and remixer, half of the duo named Rosabel, (Ralphi Rosario & Abel Aguilera) continue to churn out #1 Billboard dance hits including Rihanna’s “Only Girl In The World”.  Official remixers for Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Madonna, Billy Porter, Deborah Cox and their own insanely huge classic anthem “Cha Cha Heels” by Rosabel featuring Jeanie Tracy, the team is legendary for churning out an endless supply of original number one dance hits.  The duo has also worked with the likes of Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, Bob Sinclair, Katy Perry and more.

Abel is undoubtedly at the top of his game in an industry overrun by fledgling DJ’s aspiring to follow in his footsteps, he ranks far beyond the title of “Super DJ” and is one of a select group of “Uber DJ’s” – able to command a room of hundreds or an arena of thousands with a unique style that continues to evolve with the generations of club goers.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and living in Miami, Florida; Abel Aguilera has always had a passion for House Music. He was given his first pair of turntables and a mixer at fifteen years old, and within a year was spinning high school parties, sweet sixteen’s and weddings.

Soon enough, he was spinning Miami’s largest nightclubs.  These career defining years included residences at legendary Miami  nightclubs including Club 1235, Waterfront, Paragon, Glam Slam, Salvation, and Club Space.  He was routinely featured on a weekly radio mix show on Miami’s Super Q FM 107.

Abel’s profile among the nightlife community skyrocketed in March of 1992 with the opening of Paragon in South Beach, Miami. South Beach was the epicenter of the US circuit scene, with Paragon the undisputed crown jewel with Abel reigning supreme as the club’s resident Saturday night DJ. Partiers reveled at Abel’s explosive blend of heavy tribal beats, diva anthems, and retooled classics.

With this new status, Abel enjoyed a plethora of headlining offers from clubs and parties from around the world. He expertly selected the best opportunities and by the time Salvation closed its doors in 2001, Abel had solidified his position among the elite after-hour DJ’s.

Abel Aguilera, alongside Chicago based legend Ralphi Rosario, created the production and remixing team “Rosabel” in 1993. Alongside many other accolades, the duo was nominated for a Grammy for their production of Rihann’s Only Girl in The World.

Abel currently travels the world nonstop with many exclusive residencies at major circuit events and dance festivals around the world including a monthly residency at The Manor Complex in Fort Lauderdale.
